I'm not a regular drinker of rock teas, but found this one to be very enjoyable. It doesn't taste like cinnamon to me, but it has a sort of dry spiced bite to it. Combined with the sweet aroma and nicely described latent sweetness in the cup, this makes for an intriguing and enjoyable experience.

Classic example of the Rou Gui "cinnamon" cultivar. The subtle cinnamon bite feels inviting and familiar. Full-bodied, wiley texture, and a latent sweetness in the finish.
Harvested and produced May 8, 2025 by Mr. Li Jilin at Da Keng Kou, Wuyishan City, Fujian Province. Mr. Li finished the roasting October 12, 2025. It’s a one bud, three leaf pick of the Rou Gui cultivar growing at 800 feet.
