Puer & Dark Tea

Steeped cup The Edge of the World raw puer tea

Explore teas shaped by geography, fermentation, and time. Puer tea comes exclusively from a southern region of Yunnan Province, where the local cultivars and growing conditions are inseparable from its identity. Puer is produced as either raw (sheng) or ripe (shu), with ripe puer undergoing a post-fermentation process.

Our dark tea collection focuses on the pile-fermented teas of Hunan Province. These teas tend to have a mild, earthy-sweet character with notes of pine, hay, and aged wood.

Whether you're exploring raw or ripe puer or the distinctive dark teas of Hunan, discover some of China's most unique and deeply transformed teas.

Note that the proper pinyin spelling is “Pu'er”, but in the west you will often see it spelled as “Pu-erh” or “Puerh.” These different spellings are all referring to the same tea and don’t signify any difference in style or quality.
